Do you think parents have a right to know if their teenager is taking birth control pills? What are the potential consequences of requiring parental consent?

If the teenager is of the age of consent then the parent has no right at all to know.

If a teenager under the age of consent has a need for birth control pills then those parents should really have talked to their child about the law of wherever they live prior to the child aquiring the birth control pills.

If parental consent was needed there may be conflict for instance if the parents don't believe in sex before marriage or if they don't approve of their child's sexual partner.
